   가을

   토마스 흄

 

 

   가을밤의 싸늘한 감촉 ㅡ

   밖으로 나왔더니

   얼굴이 붉은 농부처럼

   불그레한 달이 울타리 너머로 굽어 보고 있었다

   나는 말은 건네지 않고 고개만 끄덕였다

   가장자리에는 생각에 잠긴 별들이

   도시의 아이들처럼 얼굴이 창백했다

   A touch of cold in the Autumn night-

   I walked abroad.

   And saw the ruddy moon lean over a hedge

   Like a red-faced farmer.

   I did not speak, but nodded,

   And round about were the wistful stars

   With white faces like town children.
